iPhone Xs Max is a beautiful looking phone with a glass back. The purpose for the glass back is to allow the phone to take advantage of inductive charging. This means you can lay the phone on an inductive charge pad and it will automatically start to charge. Perfect for your sleep cycle! The camera is much better compared to the i7 model as well as the processor. Its up for debate as to how much of an improvement this is. We have a few iPhone Xs Max’s come in and can’t help but notice the smaller size in hand with a screen area very close to PLUS size phone.
The benefit of the amoled screen vs Apples usual lcd back lit screens is not as noticeable to the naked eye but does offer some slight improvement. Of course, this new technology comes at a cost as Samsung is the one making the screens for Apple and getting these replaced is very expensive.
The back glass is actually more expensive to repair than on previous models with the exception of iPhone 8 which would be the biggest downfall. Break that back glass and you are paying a lot to have it replaced or getting a whole new frame. The camera on the iPhone Xs Max is nasty too in terms of cost to replace. The replacement time is fairly short, roughly 15 minutes to do this job. The cameras on the newer phones are far more sensitive so if you drop the phone in just the right way you can expect to have to replace it. Usually this is a focus issue and you will see it jitter but never quite focus correctly.
